Systematic Review

Overview: Current Government policy and health care reforms argue that contemporary health care provision and professional practice should be under-pinned by an evidence base. This module aims to develop understanding of the use of evidence-based practice as a means of enhancing care delivery and to recognise the importance of research and the appropriateness of research methods applied to practice. You are encouraged to critically appraise research studies and distinguish between the quality and methodology of related research studies. Through critical appraisal of evidence, participants are then able to adopt and develop the outcomes for application in practice.
