Professor Justine Schneider and Dr. Chris Beeley are working with the Trimbos Institute on a project which compares the community care of individuals with long term health needs in three countries: The Netherlands, Denmark, and England.
This work demonstrates international recognition of the quality of local services as well as recognition of effective liaison between care providers and organisations involved in related fields such as housing. The work aims to consider how different responsibilities for funding and care can affect the way that care is delivered by considering the incentives which are produced by the local policy and provider environment.
The work will produce a detailed comparison of policy, literature, and practice across the three countries and contribute to understanding within each country.
