Overview: One of the goals of healthcare practice is to work with people to improve their health and independence. Sometimes this may mean living well, even with the presence of symptoms. This module aims to highlight the importance of self-initiated coping in managing distressing experiences and to focus upon strengthening and enhancing positive strategies; to maintain wellness and promote independence.
