Overview: The aim of this module is to develop a comprehensive assessment and intervention strategy for people with substance misuse problems. The module content includes understanding the nature of substance misuse, motivational interviewing techniques, case formulation, working with resistance and denial, group work verses individual treatment approaches and the utilisation of supervision to aid practice.
