Overview: The extended case study module aims to enable you to engage and manage a client with complex health and social care needs. You will be required to systematically assess, plan, intervene and evaluate their health and social care interventions. You will have access to 12 hours of supervision provided by an appropriate and qualified health care professional with experience of supervision. This module will be taught through two main methods. There will be an initial tutorial with the module leader to examine the structure of the extended case study, the supervision process and the systematic approach to care. Following this, each student will be allocated a designated supervisor who will act as a resource for enabling you to select the appropriate assessment format and structure the case formulation strategy.
