Lead for the Unit: Dr Michael Ferriter
The internationally recognised tool for summarising the evidence of what interventions work or do not work in health care is the systematic review. The Literature and Evidence Research Unit (LERU) exists to carry out high quality systematic reviews of treatments and interventions based on established methodologies developed by leaders in the field such as the Cochrane Collaboration.
The Unit receives commissions both from within the Trust and also external commissions and grant funded projects. Our academic base is within the Section of Forensic Mental Health and our offices are at the Clair Chilvers Centre at Rampton Hospital.
