Head of Section: Gerry Carton

The Business & Innovation Section’s key function is to identify and exploit new business opportunities for the Institute. To deliver this function the Section fosters partnerships with other academic institutions, health social care and criminal justice services and voluntary organisations, both nationally and internationally.  These business opportunities will be varied and are likely to include, education and training commissions, service development activity, consultancy and conferences.

The Section also provides the administrative, academic and teaching resources to educational programmes validated by our other 2 academic partners, Sheffield Hallam University and the Open University.  The Section consists of a number of core staff supported by a wider network of associates.
